Founded in 2009, Kapitalo Investimentos "Kapitalo" is a Brazilian-based independent investment management firm. Its investment philosophy consists of 13 independent and uncorrelated books, managed by different portfolio managers with a certain budget predefined by the investment committee. Some of the themes approached by the firm in its trading desks are macro, equities (both domestic and international), systematic strategies, commodities, foreign exchange and arbitrage operations. Additionally, Kapitalo utilizes 4 committees to monitor the investment process. Its partners reinvest the dividends gained into internal funds that replicate the main strategies.
