Hunt Special Situations Group was established in 2004 to focus on middle market special situation investments in a variety of industries, while leveraging the Hunt’s relationships and resources in building a diversified investment portfolio. Hunt Special Situations Group seeks to invest in companies that have a viable core business model, despite current structural, transitional, financial and/or operational challenges. It also targets companies with discrete operating or financial problems. These may include right-sizing, rescaling or reorienting operations, meaningful but not overly complex capital projects and opportunities to reduce costs through improved strategies, processes and controls. Hunt Special Situations Group takes a generalist approach to investing and will consider investment opportunities in a variety of industries, however the group generally does not seek nor participate in pure-play investments or acquisitions in the oil and gas or real estate industries. Effective September 30, 2009, the principals of HSSG launched Terra Verde Partners, a private investment firm focused exclusively on the environmental sector.Read more ⏷
