Established in 2015, Hudson Executive Capital (HEC) is a New York-based hedge fund manager that employs value-oriented, event driven strategy, focused on engaging with U.S. small and mid-cap public companies with actionable opportunities to create returns. The firm is led by veteran executives Douglas Braunstein, former CFO and Vice Chairman of JPMorgan, and Douglas Bergeron, former CEO of Verifone, Inc. In addition to the firm's flagship HEC Master Fund (HMF), HEC has raised selective co-investment SPVs, enhancing fund positions with additional scale to be a more impactful stakeholder in portfolio companies. HEC seeks to continue leveraging both its extensive network and decades of operating knowledge to source and structure private-to-public investments, providing the fund's investors with a differentiated source of return.
