Fairholme Capital Management is a Florida-based value-oriented hedge fund manager founded in 1997 by Bruce R. Berkowitz. The firm focused on making long-term investments in companies whose securities were trading below its estimate of intrinsic value and held them until it believed the market accurately reflected their fair value. The firm launched its first hedge fund, The Fairholme Partnership, in January 2013.
