Fairfield Greenwich Group (FGG) was a leading alternative asset investment specialist. FGG aimed to offer superior hedge funds and related products with a high level of client service and support. FGG marketed its funds principally outside the US, to private banks, institutional investors, financial advisors, consultants, and high net worth individuals, as well as tax-exempt U.S. entities. Fairfield Greenwich Group was an employee owned firm with over 120 employees, 19 of whom are shareholders, and had offices in New York, London, and Bermuda, and representative offices in the U.S., Europe, and Latin America. FGG's client base includes private banks, financial advisors, family offices, pension funds, government authorities and other institutional investors. In July 2008 Fairfield Greenwich Group launched a joint initiative with Canadian based Sceptre Investment Council. Sceptre a financial management firm advised Canadian investors on their alternative investments and distribute FGC’s fund of hedge fund products.
