About

Founded in Hong Kong in 1994, EQT Private Capital Asia, formerly known as BPEA EQT, is an independent fund manager. The firm runs a pan-Asian investment platform through private equity and real estate investments and also provides debt capital, focusing on the Indian mid-market. With its headquarter in Hong Kong, the firm has a presence in different Asian countries including China, India, Indonesia, Singapore, and Japan. In March 2022, the firm was acquired by EQT with the acquisition being completed in October 2022. The company will continue to be led by BPEA's management team under the new BPEA EQT branding. BPEA Real Estate is an extension of Baring Private Equity Asia’s platform. BPEA Real Estate has a pan-Asia investment preference and seeks to construct a diversified real estate portfolio in order to manage risk and liquidity. Established in 2011, the firm will take a selective approach to target risk-adjusted returns across Asia. It has a strong focus on capital preservation, which is supported by a credit driven, research intensive approach, with returns being enhanced by in-house expertise focused on value creation. In January 2024, BPEA EQT has been rebranded to EQT Private Capital Asia.
