Established in 2005, Element Capital Management is a hedge fund manager headquartered in New York. The firm was founded by Jeffrey Talpins while he was managing the Element Capital Fund at Proxima Alfa Investments. Talpins was formerly head trader of fixed-income options at Citigroup and previously traded mortgage-backed securities at Goldman Sachs. The firm utilizes a Modern Macro style of global macro investing, an evolved approach that integrates macro fundamental, systematic, and relative value analysis in the formation and implementation of directional views.
