Established in 2002 by Greg Poole, Echo Street Capital Management is a New York-based hedge fund manager. The firm's fundamental approach to investing is systematic, differentiated, and repeatable. It maintains an investable universe of 400 companies made up of GoodCo’s and real estate companies. The universe represents the firm's circle of capability and has been built out by researching companies one at a time. Each enterprise has explicitly calculated its assessment of value (NAV) and has been storing much of this information in an internal database for over ten years. Much of the firm's workflow focuses on adding to state datasets and aiming to improve understanding of how stock prices move relative to it.
