Delaware Management Company

Delaware Management Company is a Pennsylvania-based hedge fund manager that offers funds with a global focus and a diverse range of strategies. The firm was established in 1929 and in 2010 it became part of the Macquarie Group “Macquarie”. In Q2 of 2017, Macquarie Group’s Delaware Investments announced that it was adopting the name of its parent and rebranding as Macquarie Investment Management to better reflect the firm’s integrated global presence. In Q4 2020, Waddell & Reed Financial, the parent company of Ivy Investment Management Company, the investment adviser of the Ivy Funds, and Macquarie, the US holding company for Macquarie Group Limited’s US asset management business, announced that they had entered into an agreement whereby Macquarie would acquire the investment management business of Waddell & Reed Financial. The transaction concluded on April 30, 2021. The Ivy Funds, as part of Delaware Funds by Macquarie, are now managed by Delaware Management Company and distributed by Delaware Distributors.
