DBJ Asset Management (DBJAM) is a Tokyo-based alternative asset manager, focusing on private assets including private equity, real estate, and infrastructure globally. The Japanese asset manager offers discretionary and non-discretionary investment management and advisory services to its institutional clients primarily in Japan. Formerly known as DBJ Nomura Investment, DBJAM was established as a joint venture between Development Bank of Japan (DBJ) and Nomura Holdings. The firm became a wholly-owned subsidiary of DBJ and adopted its current name in 2012. Domestically, DBJAM specializes in the acquisition and rehabilitation of real estate assets and the management of private real estate funds as well as a private REIT. It invests in office, commercial, industrial and residential properties across Japan. DBJ Asset Management is a signatory to the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).
