Established in December 2014, Data Capital Management (DCM) was a New York-based systematic hedge fund manager founded by Michael Beal, Ali Nazari, Andrej Rusakov, and Jack Kim. The firm utilized a fully systematic model built on big data and novel data feeds (unstructured news, images, weather, social networks data, and other market-moving information). It employed rigorous machine learning, artificial intelligence, and statistical methods to produce superior, uncorrelated returns. It combined various investment styles: fundamental, event-based, and quantitative. Its approach combined cutting-edge big data technologies, data feeds, and systematic investment strategies. DCM ceased to operate as a hedge fund manager in February 2019.
