Cygnus Asset Management was an independent hedge fund management firm established in 2006. Cygnus had two alternative and absolute return investment management teams; one managed a long/short equity strategy that focused on the utilities, energy, renewables and infrastructure sectors, and the other focused on event driven and special situation opportunities. The firm was a registered investment manager with the CNMV, recognized in the international institutional space with a large part of its investor base comprising of European investors. The firm closed in July 2022, and all capital was returned to investors with the exception of their Cygnus Europa Event Driven – Cygnus Europa Alternative Feeder fund, which will be managed by Quadriga Asset Managers moving forward.
