Corrib Capital Management

Corrib Capital Management was a hedge fund manager with offices in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Chicago, Illinois. The firm was founded by Kevin Cavanaugh after spinning out from Waterstone Capital Management where he was the portfolio manager to the Waterstone Quarry Fund, the predecessor fund of the Corrib Master Fund. The firm employed an event-driven capital structure investment strategy. It looked for situations that have asymmetric return profiles with substantial downside protection. On both the long and short side, it sought to identify opportunities in bank loans, corporate bonds, equities, derivatives, and claims. All research was fundamentally driven by analysis based on a distressed investing framework.
