Copper Street Capital is an alternative investment firm focused on capturing opportunities within the financial services sector. The team, led by Jerry del Missier, seeks to identify absolute and relative value opportunities across capital structures of banks and insurers, with a primary focus on Europe. In 2015, Jerry del Missier launched Copper Street with $96m of principal capital. The fund’s beta-testing phase lasted from October 2015 until August 2016 when the Firm received FCA approval. He was supported by Justin Bull, a Senior Advisor who is now COO, and Sharon Whitehouse-Faux as Chief of Staff. Since then, the team has selected service providers, developed the manager’s infrastructure, and created a governance structure, while refining the strategy and proceeding with recruitment. Copper Street has a leadership team with a total headcount of 13.
