Copper River Management was a Millburn, New Jersey based hedge fund management firm that was founded David A. Rocker as Rocker Partners. The firm's name was changed to Copper River Management and after the retirement of Mr Rocker in 2007, full management of the firm was handed to Marc Cohodes. The company was liquidated in 2008 as a result of the bankruptcy of Lehman UK (which prevented access to USD 100 million of Copper River's assets) and to the actions of the SEC to limit the holding of short positions in the market and of Copper River's Prime Broker (Goldman Sachs) in response to the SEC's emergency rules.
