CIAM is a Paris-based hedge fund manager founded in 2010 and managed by Catherine Berjal and Anne-Sophie d’Andlau. The investment team led by Catherine Berjal, that is focusing on M&A situations as soon as 1998. Her partner, Anne-Sophie d’Andlau, also has a long history in M&A and in the management of event-driven funds. In the first three years, the firm managed a merger arbitrage fund. Since September 2013, it reoriented towards the more global management of M&A situations, centering the portfolio on an activist approach. The name of the fund was changed to CIAM Merger Opportunities.
