Chilmark Partners founded in 1984 and based in Chicago, IL is an investment banking firm that provides advice for companies with complex financial issues in the following areas: restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, financing, and resolving litigation. Chilmark Partners’ experience as a private equity investor began in 1991 when the firm co-sponsored and managed the Zell/Chilmark Fund and Chilmark Fund II. The investment period has expired on their funds and the firm is no longer investing in distressed assets. On July 2015, Chilmark Partners and Burford Capital launched a joint venture Bankruptcy Litigation Funding LLC to provide financing and advisory services for claims brought in connection with US bankruptcies.
