BTS Investment Advisors (BTS) is a Zürich based private equity firm that invests in all stages of the development life cycle, except start-ups, providing growth capital to India-based companies. The firm is supported by its sub-advisor EQ India Advisors in Mumbai, who offers investment advice and domestic expertise. While BTS has invested in retail, healthcare, biotechnology, and technology sectors in the past, it has a preference for pharmaceuticals, engineering, IT, telecoms and energy industries going forward. It also invests in other sectors on an opportunistic basis. It offers both advisory services to offshore, India focused venture funds and fund management services for in-house funds. BTS is also a sustainable investor which tracks the social impact of its investments over the life time of its fund. The integration of social and environmental responsibility and transparency into the portfolio companies’ operations is also a key investment criterion of BTS. BTS seeks board representation and takes an active role in its portfolio companies to better manage its investment risks. BTS places emphasis on exit planning to maximize its investment returns.
