Asymmetry Capital Management (Asymmetry) was a San Francisco-based hedge fund manager. The firm was founded by Scott Kay, CIO/PM in Q1 of 2012. Scott led a team of six investment professionals and a three-person business/operations team. It managed Asymmetry Funds and sub-advised for clients that included; global banks, wealth management firms, family offices, and HNW individuals. The investment strategy focused on diversified healthcare, global equities, lower net exposure, and holding long/short positions. Asymmetry launched its US Fund in January 2013 and its Offshore Fund in September 2013. As of January, 2022 the firm's funds were liquidated and the firm was no longer active.
