Assured Investment Management is a fund manager investing in private equity, private debt, real estate, and hedge funds asset classes. The firm acquired BlueMountain Capital Management, a subsidiary of Assured Guaranty Ltd. The firm has over $18BN in AUM, offices in NY and London, and focuses on four core business areas - CLOs, private healthcare capital, asset-based finance, and municipal finance. The private equity arm focuses on absolute return funds, private capital funds, and customized single-investor funds on behalf of sophisticated institutions and individual investors worldwide. The private debt arm focuses on making investments in corporate structured credit such as CDO and synthetic collateralized debt obligations, asset-backed financing transactions, securities, and single-company corporate credit. The real estate arm specializes in the acquisition and management of real estate assets, as well as the provision of real estate debt. Assured Investment Management focuses on in particular are land, office, senior home, and multi-family properties across Spain and the US. At BlueMountain, the firm built a long record of managing credit-focused investments, dating back to 2003. BlueMountain seeks to build an enduring partnership that consistently meets the expectations of its investors. BlueMountain is a diversified alternative asset manager and uses an interdisciplinary approach to identify opportunities stemming from artificial investor segmentation, behavioral biases, and idiosyncratic events. With a heritage in the credit markets, the firm's multi-strategy platform now includes investments in credit, distressed, equity, structured finance & real estate as well as arbitrage and technical strategies. In October 2019, Assure Guaranty completes its acquisition of BlueMountain Capital Management. In September 2020, the firm changes its name to Assured Investment Management LLC.Read more ⏷
