About

Established in 1996, Asam Asset Management is a South Korea-domiciled hedge fund manager based in Seoul. The firm was initially founded under the name Jangsaeng Consulting, later transitioning into an advisory firm in 2007, and ultimately becoming an asset management company in 2016. Since 2018, it has focused on the Vietnamese financial market, establishing Asam Investment Advisory in Vietnam and launching the Vietnam SB/CB fund. In 2020, the firm acquired Asam Securities Vietnam (formerly known as SJC Securities) in Ho Chi Minh City, building an onshore market access platform that delivers real-time market information. The firm has completed full redemptions of its 8 Vietnam bond funds and is currently managing 9 Vietnam bond funds, with zero default events across its Vietnam bond strategies since 2018. The firm has experience in domestic mezzanine products, including CBs and BWs, as well as IPO investments. It primarily employs a multi-strategy approach alongside a discretionary investment methodology across its portfolio.
