Arle Capital Partners was established in April 2011 after Candover Investments spun out its private equity arm, Candover Partners. The deal was backed by fund of funds and secondaries investor Pantheon and the Candover 2001 and 2005 funds are now managed by Arle Capital Partners. The firm pursues mid-market buyout investments in a broad range of industries in Europe, but with a specific focus on businesses in the energy and natural resources sectors. Arle's activities are focused on companies typically headquartered in the North Sea Rim (which comprises of the UK, Nordics, Benelux and Germalpine), but with operations that extend beyond these markets. Newgate Private Equity has agreed to acquire Arle Capital Partners Limited (ACPL). The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to complete later in 2017. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
