AO Asset Management (AO) was a New York-based investment manager founded by Nick Romano in June 2013. AO’s investment objective was to generate superior risk-adjusted returns in the TMT sector. It sought to achieve its goal through a deep, fundamental, bottom-up stock selection, focused on investing primarily in equity securities, both long and short, with emphasis on mid-to large-capitalization companies. The firm's portfolio tends to be concentrated, has a longer-term holding period for companies it owns and can be more tactical on the short side. It expects both longs and shorts to contribute to performance.
