About

Alteia Fund formerly known as Barak Fund Management, is a fund manager that provides investment opportunities in agricultural-focused private debt, natural resources, and hedge fund, based in Mauritius. The firm provides sophisticated institutional investors with alternative asset opportunities. The firm uses asset-backed loans with various forms of collateral and utilizes a structured commodity-backed transaction across more than 30 African countries. In July 2016, Barak announced a strategic collaboration with African Capital Investments, a boutique sub-Saharan African-focused merchant bank. The purpose of the collaboration is to cooperate on a project where each team's experience can be leveraged to offer a wider suite of services to their respective clients. The firms will co-locate in their respective offices in London and Johannesburg. In early 2023, Barak Fund Management underwent a restructuring and is now operating as Alteia Fund.
