Adelphi Capital (Adelphi) was a long-standing, independent hedge fund management firm based in London. Established in 1997, it focused on fundamental, bottom-up investment in European equities. Its two co-founders previously set up the international equity business at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in London and had co-managed equity portfolios for over 25 years. The firm managed two strategies, long/short and long-only equities, organized by the same investment team and overseen by a dedicated risk management team. Adelphi's investment philosophy was based on the belief that over the long-term, company fundamentals were the drivers of individual stock prices and the market could be inefficient in pricing these fundamentals.
