A. raised BRL 100 million in venture funding led by new investor TreeCorp, with participation from another new investor Quartz, and in August 2021, Pet Center Comércio e Participações S/A acquired the company for BRL 715 million. As of 2021, Zee. Dog S/A operates in more than 45 countries, and nearly 30% of its revenue is generated from the international market.
Zee. Dog S/A mainly manufactures and sells pet products and accessories including collars, pectorals, toys, feeder bowls, mats, beds, clothes, and poop bags, under its brand names Zee. Dog, and Zee. Cat.
The company also offers apparel, backpacks, suitcases, and other accessories for pet owners, through its segment, Zee. Dog Human. The firm operates on both B2B and B2C business models, distributing its products through local partners, distributors, store and shop owners, and its website. Additionally, through its mobile application, Zee.
Now (Launched in 2019), the company provides express delivery services in 11 Brazilian cities, delivering its own products as well as similar products from other brands. The acquisition by Pet Center Comércio e Participações S/A, will reinforce the company’s strategy to consolidate the pet products and services market. The firm intends to launch its exclusive pet food business segment, Zee. Dog Kitchen, by 2022.
