Zamp SA

Established in 2011, and based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Zamp SA, f. k. a BK Brasil Operação e Assessoria a Restaurantes S. A.

is the restaurant operator and franchiser of Burger King and Popeyes brand names in Brazil. Zamp SA was initially formed through a Joint Venture between Vinci Partners and Burger King Corporation to manage and develop the Burger King brand in Brazil. In February 2012, Zamp acquired BGK do Brasil S. A.

Additionally, in November 2014, Temasek Holdings acquired a 20. 5% stake in Burger King Brasil. In August 2016, Capital Group acquired a 31% minority stake in Burger King Brazil for BRL 457 million. Then, in July 2017, Vinci Partners sold a 5% stake in Burger King Brasil to an American family office for BRL 100 million.

And in December of that same year, Burger King's Brazilian operator, now Zamp raised BRL 2. 214 billion in an IPO, selling 123 million shares at USD 18 per share. As a result of the IPO, Vinci Partners and Capital Group received BRL482 million, and BRL464 million in gross proceeds, respectively. Moreover, in 2018, BK Brasil changed the name to Zamp.

Zamp, through its brands offers cheeseburgers, burgers with different flavors, the Mega Stacker family and the dulce de leche, onion rings, hot dogs, French and chicken fries, salads, soft drinks, juices, coffee, milkshakes, as well as cakes and ice creams as well as grilled sandwiches, and Louisiana and Cajun spice mix. BK Brasil also has a BK Club rewards which is Burger King Brasil's free benefits program where customers can earn points on purchases and exchange them for Burger King rewards and products.   Additionally, the company also offers advisory and support services to Burger King restaurants, and sale of business related products. The company's brand portfolio include BURGER KING® and POPEYES®.

Burger King Brasil operates a chain of hamburger fast food restaurants and has presence in all Brazilian states, with around 900 restaurants. Popeyes is a fried chicken restaurant chains - The brand opened its first store in Brazil in 2018. The company generates revenue from fast food retail sales at company restaurants, franchise fees, proprietary delivery services, and digital restaurants.
