In July 2022, YGG Japan raised USD 2. 8 million in venture funding from new investors Animoca Brands Corporation Limited, Infinity Ventures Crypto, Yield Guild Games, and Yield Guild Games Southeast Asia. The company holds a partnership with Akatsuki, Crypto Games, YGG SEA, and many more.
YGG offers DAO-type games that provide Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) which generate profits in blockchain games. As of 2022, the firm has more than 1,00,000 members and 20,000 scholars across 24 countries who rent their NFTs to play games and earn profits. The July 2022 funds will help YGG Japan to expand its blockchain gaming business overseas.
