Wound Care Holdings was formed in 2006 to participate in chronic wound care, a highly fragmented and rapidly growing sector of the healthcare industry. WCS currently consists of two separate business models: (i) WCS Clinics, Inc. an outsourced manager of on-site hospital wound care clinics; and (ii) WCS Equipment, Inc. which focuses on manufacturing hyperbaric chambers and other wound care equipment.
WCS Clinics provides clinical support and ongoing oversight for wound care centres, including planning, setup, and value-added services. With more than 150 clinics under contract, WCS Clinics is the largest operator of outsourced wound care clinics in the US. WCS Equipment is the leading manufacturer of hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers as well as other respiratory care products which are used in wound care centres to provide oxygen-based therapies to wound care patients. The company’s products are sold primarily to hospitals and managers of outsourced wound care centers.
