k. a Wilton Re is a life re-insurance company that acquires life insurance and annuities. In December 2004, Century Equity Partners, FFL Partners, MMC Ventures, Stone Point Capital and Vestar Capital Partners invested USD 628 million in Wilton Re Holdings Limited.
In 2005, Ridgemont Equity Partners acquired a stake in the company. Additionally, in 2009, Kelso & Company invested in Wilton Re. In March 2014, CPP Investment Board bought Wilton Re for USD 1. 8 billion, and in December 2014, Insignia Capital Group invested in the company.
In 2022, Wilton Re sold its Toronto-based life insurance company ivari to Sagicor. Wilton Re operates in three segments In-force solutions, New Business Solutions, and Primary Insurance. Wilton Re is owned by the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB). Wilton Re offers In-force solutions that provide M&A and reinsurance-based solutions - Administrative Services include a BPO-based administrative services platform, comprehensive policyholder services, full call center operations, agent support and ongoing support for the policyholder, and operations and financial reporting.
