About

Based in Athens, Greece, and founded in 2017 by Ilias Sousis, Peter Sagos, and Harry Parianos, Wikifarmer Single Person Private Company, a. k. a. Wikifarmer Marketplace operates as an online platform that empowers and educates farmers globally, as well as connects them with the markets to promote and sell their products.

In June 2022, Wikifarmer Single Person Private Company raised seed funding from Metavallon VC, also other individual investors. The company provides a digital library and marketplace that allows farmers to access knowledge on agricultural practices as well as offers them an opportunity to sell their products directly to businesses, helping them minimize or surpass a large number of intermediaries. As of June 2022, Wikifarmer’s marketplace has been visited by more than 12 million individuals from about 200 countries while approximately 30,000 products have been uploaded by the farmers. Wikifarmer plans to use its proceeds from June 2022 funding to expand its educational content to 20 languages, and expand its marketplace presence in Spain, France, Italy, and Greece.
