Based in Selangor, Malaysia, and founded in 2002 by Green Packet Berhad, Webe Digital Sdn Bhd is a provider of wireless broadband access technologies such as WiMAX and Wi-Fi. Chaired by Azizi Hadi as CEO, the company received USD 51 million worth of investment funding from Kendall Court Capital Partners and Leafgreen Capital Partners Co. in 2012 to expand its 4G network and customer acquisition activities. In March 2014, Telekom Malaysia acquired a 57% stake in P1 for MYR 350 million.
In 2016, the company was rebranded as Webe Digital Sdn Bhd. P1 is an internet network infrastructure provider offering 4G services in air and fiber optic networks on the ground for heavy data usage in offices and homes to all Malaysians. The company offers various plans such as OnePlan, ForHome, ToGo Prepaid/Top-up, and Quota Top-ups. The company’s revenue is generated when users subscribe to their 4G services via the P1 website or P1 outlets.
