Based in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, and founded in 2014, WAVEPIA CO. , LTD. designs and manufactures semiconductor chips made of gallium nitride material called GaN. The RFIC/MMIC design house develops RF GaN HEMT Bare dies and RF GaN Transistors which are customizable upon the customer’s request.

In 2016, the company began developing its pipelines UHF/VHF Broad-band GaN PA and GaN Bare-die & packaged TR. The S-band 400W TR line-up, Ku-band Broad-band GaN bare-die, and packaged Tr line-up, WBL QFN package TR, 5G (S-band) MIMO Doherty 25W QFN packaged TR, and GaN High-power PLL were developed in 2018. In 2019 WAVEPIA CO. , LTD.

joined the International Microwave Power Institute as a corporate member. In September 2021, WAVEPIA raised KRW 4. 5 billion in series A funding led by new investor DSC Investment. New investors Company K Partners, K-Run Ventures, and P&P Investment.

WAVEPIA CO. , LTD. plans to expand in the global market in upcoming years by pioneering in industrial development while conducting human-centered business management to ensure an excellent partnership with its clients, cooperative firms, and investors. The investment in September 2021 will help the company upgrade its test facilities and GaN-based transistor products, and to expand the pipeline for overseas customers.
