Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and founded in 2018, VentriJect is a spin-out of a research center in cardiology at Aalborg University, VentriJect operates as a developer of a wearable device for health care that measures individual heartbeats. As of August 2023, the company is led by its CEO Stig Visti Andersen. In August 2025, VentriJect raised EUR 1. 7 million in venture funding led by unspecified investors, with participation from returning investors Export and Investment Fund of Denmark and TechStation Invest.
An individual investor also participated in the round. VentriJect's product, the Seismofit® System, is a VO2-max estimation that records vibrations originating from the heart and transmitted to the chest wall in a supine position. The method, known as seismocardiography, captures heart valve movements and chamber contractions. The data captured is analyzed using a cloud-based algorithm, and the estimated VO2-max is delivered to a smartphone app.
The products cater to fitness sports, and medical examinations sectors. The company plans to utilize the August 2025 funding to develop and extend its cardiorespiratory fitness monitoring device.
