Based in Stockholm, Sweden, and founded in 2019 by Patrik Liu Tran and Urban Eriksson, Validio AB operates as a data reliability platform intended to get ahead of data failures in real-time. In March 2026, Validio AB raised USD 30 million in series A funding led by Plural, with participation from Lakestar and J12 Ventures. The company is led by its co-founder and CEO, Patrik Liu Tran. Valido offers a Deep Data Observability platform that connects to all the data, regardless of location in data warehouses, data lakes, or streams, so users can validate data without it necessarily entering the data warehouse like other data quality solutions require.

The platform helps catch data quality failures throughout the entire data pipeline, even left of the data warehouse; provides visual notifications, automates resolution of bad data; and enables high-quality data for the data use cases over time, scalability, and cost-control to execute a validator. It also helps with productivity by allowing multiple users and combining a code first (YAML) as well as a no-code interface (Infra-as-code & CLI) in order for multiple users to be able to interact with the platform; and deployment in the virtual public cloud (In-VPC). Validio is offered as a fully managed solution where our team manages the deployment of the platform in the team's cloud environment. In addition, Validio integrates seamlessly with the collaboration tool the team uses, such as Slack, Teams Pagerduty, and emails.

The company will use the March 2026 funding to further scale go-to-market across the US and Europe and to continue developing its agentic data management platform.
