Founded in 2000 and based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, United Group B. V. is a telecommunications and media operator in South East Europe, providing cable television services, mobile telephony, as well as data and voice services. The company was formed as a cable company and through acquisitions and establishment of businesses such as Telemach Slovenia, Telemach BiH and SBB, it became United Group in 2012.
In 2016, the company established an in-house technology development centre named ‘United Cloud’ focusing on technological solutions. In March 2019, BC Partners, an alternative investment company, acquired a majority stake in United Group from KKR for EUR 2. 568 billion. As of September 2021, the company has 13,542 employees and operates in 8 countries including Greece, Serbia and Croatia.
United Group B. V. provides a range of telecommunications services including cable TV operation, fixed and mobile telephony, data and voice services, and content platforms to households and offices in South East Europe. It also offers certified managed services to enterprises of all sizes, participating in the content and advertising sales fields through its United Media business, combining Pay TV channels such as entertainment, sports and news and CAS Media.
As of September 2021, the company has a LTM revenue of EUR 1,806 million.
