Based in Tokyo, Japan, and founded in 2013 and led by Chief Executive Officer Yasuyuki Toki, provider of childcare solutions, leveraging technology to improve childcare environments and streamline administrative tasks. In August 2024, Unifa Inc. raised JPY 500 million in Series E funding from MIXI, MPower Partners, Fujitsu Ventures, and Hachijuni Investment.   Unifa Inc.

developed a platform known as Lukmee, which is designed to assist childcare facilities with tasks such as attendance tracking, nap monitoring, and health checks using AI and IoT. The company’s platform automates these administrative processes, which allows educators to focus more on children’s needs. It's a childcare management system that supports monitoring, communication, and record-keeping. In addition, the firm focuses on developing smart nursery schools, smart kindergarten, and smart children's centers.

  The company plans to use the funding from August 2024 to collaborate with MIXI's children's photo and video sharing app "Mitene", development of new products for the "Lukmee" comprehensive childcare ICT series including AI functions, sales and marketing expenses for further expansion of customer facilities, M&A of competitors and will improve medium- to long-term growth by further strengthening the business and financial foundations.
