Based in Ohio, US, and founded in 2018 by co-founders Travis Smith and Zach Bowers, TribeVest LLC is a collaborative group investing platform that enables friends and family to organize as an investor group, pool money, and manage joint investments. It is a marketplace that unifies, supports, and celebrates tribes and their members. In January 2022, TribeVest LLC raised USD 3 million in seed funding from investors I2BF, Mucker Capital, Gaingels, and Vibe Capital.   TribeVest LLC enables investor groups to form LLCs, develop operational agreements, open FDIC-insured bank accounts up to USD 250,000, and vote on investment decisions.

The company also offers tools, including a business ledger, for groups to track their investment performance. The platform allows users to leverage the LLC structure for decision-making, assigning members executive responsibilities and proposing and voting on group rules, all of which are documented on Tribevest's platform.   The company generates revenue through its monthly subscription package, which costs USD 49 monthly and USD 29 annually (monthly USD 348 billed annually). The company plans to use January 2022 funds to launch formal partnerships with investment platforms similar to Roofstock, which will allow users on those platforms to make investments directly through their accounts at checkout and  use funds to scale its business.
