Based in Kärsämäki, Finland, and founded in 2012, Tracegrow Oy operates as a manufacturer of fertilizers from recycled minerals for farmers, retailers, and distributors. In June, the company raised a venture funding round of EUR 1. 5 million from Taaleri Investments Ltd. The company produces fertilizers out of micronutrients extracted and purified from used alkaline batteries.
These liquid fertilizers bring to the fields the metals and trace elements that plants need to grow. The fertilizers reduce carbon emissions thus helping to minimize the exploitation of limited resources on the planet. Tracegrow plans to build a second production line in Kärsämäki to expand both its production capacity and product portfolio.
