The company was founded by Peter Jonas (CEO) and Matt Lorenzen (COO). In September 2022, Thirdwave raised USD 7 million in seed funding led by Framework ventures, Animoca brands, and play ventures. It will use the funding for building out the key elements of its discovery engine.
