In May 2024, Testmate Health SA raised USD 6 million in seed funding led by Rhia Ventures, with participation from other investors The Helm, Amboy Street Ventures, Lichtsteiner Foundation, Zürcher Kantonalbank, DART Labs, and Gaingels. Testmate's flagship product is a home-based urine test designed to detect four common STDs: chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, and mycoplasma genitalium. The test employs a combination of DNA isothermal amplification technology and microengineering techniques, enabling accurate results in a portable, disposable format.
Through the Testmate’s app, users share the results with healthcare providers for further consultation and treatment. The company will use the May 2024 funding to accelerate its product development, provide testing, and expand its critical needs in healthcare.
