Tekever Ltd

Based in Lisbon, Portugal, and founded in 2001 but started offering commercial services since 2018, Tekever Ltd is a designer and manufacturer of both its drones and the technology for ocean surveillance. In May 2025, Tekever Ltd raised an undisclosed amount of venture funding led by Ventura Capital, with participation from Baillie Gifford, NATO Innovation Fund, Iberis Capital, Crescent Cove Advisors, and other unspecified investors. The company was co-founded by CEO, Ricardo Mendes. As of January 2023, the company has more than 250 employees.

The Tekever Group offers AI-integrated drones and software specifically designed to monitor and detect activity on the water. The company UAS includes Tekever ATLAS, which provides intelligent onboard and on-ground tools for real-time and historical data processing; Tekever Digital which offers digital Transformation services; and Tekever Space focuses on developing satellite systems and technologies such as Tekever Synthetic Aperture Radar technology which provides cloud-penetrating and light-independent capability to capture key terrain data for security applications, resource management, and environmental monitoring. The company's customers include governments and their agencies, private shipping, and other maritime companies. The company expects to generate annual growth of 60% over the next three years.

The company will use the May 2025 funding to increase production of its family of unmanned aerial systems and to advance its research, infrastructure, and defense technology programs.
