About
Based in Texas, US, and founded by Bill Kling in 1988, Swiss American CDMO (Contract Development & Manufacturing Organization) develops and manufactures topical skincare and wound care products for its client companies across the globe. Swiss American started its business by manufacturing and distributing its proprietary product, Eutra Creme, and marketed 30 products under the label Elta Brand. In 2007, the company started offering services as a contract developer & manufacturer (CDMO), and it launched EltaMD® as a physician-dispensed brand of sun care and skincare products, which was later acquired by Colgate-Palmolive® in January 2018. In 2019, Swiss American was named as a top 10 US CDMO by MedTech Outlook.
As of 2021, Phil O’Neill is the CEO of the firm, and has around 350 employees, and serves various cosmetic, OTC drug, and medical device regulatory companies around the world, and distributes its products across 193 countries.
