Founded in 2018 by CEO Keiichi Tsuzuki and based in Nagoya, Japan, Sumaten is engaged in the development of web and mobile solutions to assist property managers in the collection and organization of building data to simplify and automate the inspection process. In February 2024, Sumaten raised JPY 100 million in venture funding from investor Hatsuta Seisakusho. Sumaten offers two primary products, sumen base and sumaten up, designed to address the needs of building managers and inspectors: Sumen base is a web tool created for building managers to manage legal inspections. The platform provides real-time updates, progress tracking, and report management, all aimed at simplifying the complex process of maintaining building compliance.

Additionally, Sumaten up is a mobile application designed for inspectors to streamline the workflow, reducing the time and effort required to conduct inspections. The app facilitates data entry, report generation, and communication with building managers, ensuring that inspections are carried out accurately and efficiently. The company will use the February 2024 funding to provide safer and more secure social infrastructure.
