Stark Group A/S

Founded in 1896 and based in Denmark, Stark Group A/S is a B2B distributor of heavy building materials for the construction industry. The company began when two local firms, Jørgensen & Stilling and Petersen & Matzen, merged under the name Aarhus Trælasthandel A/S, which gradually expanded over time through organizational and geographical growth. It later completed its IPO in 1933 when the newly named Det Danske Trælastkompagni A/S was listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. In 2018, DT Group A/S was acquired by the American private equity firm Lone Star Funds, and the name changed to STARK Group A/S.

Stark Group A/S, through its subsidiaries, operates as a provider of a product range of construction materials including tiles, timber, building materials, and tools, as well as offering advice and logistics solutions to professional builders, consumers, home builders, and distributors.
