In July 2018, a consortium led by Samara Capital and Xponentia Capital Partners acquired Spoton Logistics Pvt. Ltd. from India Equity Partners for INR 5. 25 billion.

As of 2021, the company's CEO is Abhik Mitra and it has more than 1600 employees and 13 major depots, and 35 transit hubs across India. In August 2021, the company was acquired by Delhivery Private Limited. In August 2021, Delhivery Private Limited acquired Spoton Logistics Pvt. Ltd.

from India Equity Partners, Samara Capital, and Xponentia Capital Partners for USD 235 million. Spoton Logistics operates a network of depots and transit hubs through which it provides movement services for a variety of goods to an array of sectors such as, viz. , hi-tech, automotive, engineering, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and electricals, and lifestyle and retail. In June 2021, the company added supply chain solutions such as service parts logistics to its service portfolio.

Spoton’s suite of logistics services includes shipping, light trucking, road, air express, freight goods, Spot Retail, and transport solutions for education materials (Eduxpress) as well as providing tracking shipment services. Spoton Logistics also operates SPOTXHIBIT, a specialized transportation service for moving exhibit material across locations. As of 2018, the company generates annual revenue of INR 6 billion with earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (Ebitda) margin of about 8%. In 2021, the company announced its plans to expand its team size from 1800 to about 2500 within 2022.
