In October 2021, Unacademy, a portfolio company of Aroa Ventures, Blume Ventures, Dragoneer Investment Group, Elevation Capital, General Atlantic, Meta, Mirae Asset Securities, Nexus Venture Partners, SAIF Partners, SB Investment Advisers, Sequoia Capital, Stanford Angels & Entrepreneurs, Steadview Capital Management, Temasek Holdings, Tiger Global Management, and TraxcnLabs, acquired Spayee from TLabs for USD 25 million. As of September 2022, the company has more than 2,000 creators and businesses that have launched their courses using Spayee.

Spayee Labs Private Limited offers a platform that allows content creators to create and build their own website and mobile apps on Android and iOS and produce multimedia course content in the form of recorded videos, live classes, PDF documents, quizzes, assignments, and live classes along with automated payment gateways. In addition, the company also offers marketing and engagement tools to attract and engage an audience.
