Based in Nagoya, Japan, and founded in 2020 by CEO Yousuke Kaneko, SORA Technology employs drones and artificial intelligence to analyze aerial imagery for malaria control and infectious diseases surveillance and early detection. The company also develops drone for last-mile delivery of medical supplies in Asia and Africa, implements unmanned traffic management systems, constructs digital layout maps from aerial data for medical center development, and provides drone pilot training and regulatory consulting to support air mobility. In November 2025, SORA Technology raised JPY 400 million in pre-series A funding from Daiwa House Ventures, Tokai Innovation Institute, and UNERI.  SORA Technology provides drone technology, which utilizes air mobility centered on drones to contribute to the resolution of urgent social issues.

The company specializes in last-mile delivery by drone mobility. As of 2023, the firm serves industries such as technology, air mobility, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical. The company plans to use the November 2025 funding to support the development of artificial intelligence, expansion of operations in Africa, coordination with governments and international organizations, and the strengthening of drone and local operating systems.
