SMIC provides integrated circuit (IC) foundry and technology services on process nodes from 0. 35 micron to 14 nanometer. It also offers integrated circuit-related development, design and technical services, photomask manufacturing, testing and sales of self-produced products, and other services. The company mainly generates value from the sales of semiconductor integrated circuit wafers.
With the venture funding in May 2020, SMIC will build up large-scale manufacturing capacity focusing on 14-nanometer and more advanced process and manufacturing technologies.
