Based in Ubach-Palenberg, Germany, and founded in 1979, SLV GmbH, a. k. a. SLV Group manufacturers and supplies LED (light-emitting diodes) lighting systems for indoor and outdoor use to resellers, wholesalers, and retail partners along with offers residential and technical lighting products.
In October 2016, Ardian agreed to acquire SLV Group from Cinven for approximately EUR 800 million. The product line of SLV GmbH includes indoor lighting, outdoor lighting, illuminants, and accessories. The indoor lighting provided by the company comprises internal lights, lighting for home, hotel lighting, shop lighting, office lighting, store lighting, industrial and workshop lighting, and more. The company provides outdoor lighting, such as table lights, floor lights, pendant lights, wall lights, ceiling lights, and more for homes, the hotel industry, shops, stores, and industries and workshops.
The illuminants and accessories provided by the company include LED illuminants, LED modules, Conventional illuminants, as well as electrical and mechanical accessories. SLV GmbH also provides NUMINOS, a lighting system that harmonizes function, design, and technology, and RUSTY, rust lights for outdoor areas. In addition, the firm offers high-voltage track systems. The company generates revenue from sales of its products through its e-commerce platform, along with the sale of products through its subsidiaries.
